Truth

Does anyone person always tell the truth? Is it possible? Why so or why not? Its so easy fr peole to lie yet difficult to always be truthful. Why? Is it because we are surrounded by lies via our news and other sources of media so we figure might as well tell them what they want to hear. Would the world be better if everyone was honest or are there just some things that must be lied about? The truth can be powerful, and surprising and very real which is maybe why its often avoided. What do you think?

Money

Can money make you happy? A lot of people say money doesn't buy happiness. Do those people have any? Like a comedian once said "whoever said money can't buy you happiness was wrong because money can buy you a jetski and have you ever seen anyone sad on a jet ski?" But with more money comes more problems and resposibility, so do we really want more money, let alone more problems in our everyday already hectic life? I hate money so much I want to make so much that I never have to worry about it again! To me its a love hate relationship, sometimes my money hates me so it stays away, other times I cant keep her out of my pants. But seriously, I feel its not money we seek but rather the security it brings. Since money defines weither we eat or starve, freeze outside or have a place to sleep indoors, people can't help but stress over finances. It is the number one reason for devorces in the U.S. I believe that money has the power to do both; make us happy or sad dependant upon how we choose to spend it. One issue that really grinds my gears is the true defining issue -Finacial Education in schools. Our schools from the day we enroll train us to be followers, to work for somebody else, instead of minding our own business and our own finances. There is only one course in high school which teaches finances, but doesn't even scratch the surface in terms of real life issues such as credit cards, APR's(Adjustable Prime Rates), what is interest and how does it work, student loans; which are good and which ones to stay away from, or mortgages for a house and so forth. So when a student does finally graduate and is ready for the real world, not only are they in debt but the only way they know to fix the problem is to work more hours so they earn more inturn getting taxed more and helping the government earn more while they try just to catch up on their debt which by the way they're still only paying on the interest but hey, they know no better. I'm not saying scholastic education is not important, it is, however we are forgeting finacial education which is crucial and must go hand in hand with scholastic education. If you have all of the brains in the world but don't know how to spend, save, or invest your money then you can be just as @#$%ed as the others. What is New Media?

The new media to me is media convergence in combination with personalized multi-media formats designed for each individual. The one stop shop for you verbal, audio, and visual video needs. The time of text only screens is a thing of the past, now its a mix of video/audio/and print all in one. Not only that, a new solution has arrived about regarding an overflow of useless and irrelevant information and its called "epic 2014." Its a personalized information and news provider based on your likes and interest. Is this good or bad? Isn't this what we've always wanted or will we miss things we never knew we wanted untill we had them? If we live in a world to where everything is catered to our liking it starts to spoil us if you will and make us comfortable and inturn more oblivious to the real world news. Some of the greatest experiences are created when one is out of their own comfort zone or "bubble." New is good, and it makes one grow. Besides, what your intersted in now is different then five years ago is it not? What do you think?

Wikipedia

So, the ever so widely used wikipedia is growing as a fountain of information for the uninformed. Well most people don't know but anyone can edit this sight! Yes, even you. To prove this if you would like to see this in action then go to www.wikipedia.com and look up Jaime Foxx and see who his real brother was under his "early years" or something or other. How you feel when most of the stuff refrenced from this sight is not reliable information, right? Or is it? Do we as a society really make the truth or do we believe the facts? Wikipedia is one of the first sights that comes up on most searches proformed by search engines, Maybe since it sounds like encyclopedia people assume its reputable based on name recognition alone. Idiots! Like Henry Ford said, " Thinking is one of the hardest things to do which is why most people don't do it." Use your head and let me know what u think.

Cyberethics response

How do I think new forms of communication via the internet wil affect society?? What changes might it bring? To me this is a question similar to... How will the world end? Who knows only time will tell..But if you want my honest opinion. I think people have so much trouble communicating corectly via words let alone adding new technology, that it could be difficult. But who knows we live in a savvy information feast of a world today where children come out of the womb texting, that it may be the easiest new technology to adapt to. It could be really beneficial to those who require instant gratification and communication, or on the other hand a hastle to those used to just talking over the phone. The only changes I see it bringing are expediting every process which can be i.e. any business, simply because of the instantaniousness of the NEW forms of communication. News of all kind will be more beneficial to all because of the speed of communication, yet it could lead to an overflow of new useless information for example, "brittney loses kids to Kfed" , I don't give a damn! Thus, making one have to decifer tons more information than before causeing one to become numb to what once would have been startling. Your thoughs???
